Hello & welcome!
I’m Dawnbringer.
Introvert
- Bookworm
Chronically ill
- Covered in cat hair
Storyteller & writer
Passionate roleplayer
Chatbot & Adventure creator
My writing
Writing emotionally constipated idiots across fantasy, horror & comedy.
Sarcasm included free of charge.
AnyPOV | OCs | British English | story-first roleplay | morally grey disasters
My characters range from green flags who sabotage themselves to walking red flags who may sabotage you. Heavy on dry wit, chaos, angst, adventure and NPCs with far too many opinions.
Expect vampires, airship pirates, washed-up musicians, cryptids, shady towns and the occasional prehistoric arranged marriage.
Writing is a passion
Ever since I was a child, stories have been my safe haven – places where I could try things out and get to know myself better, whether through my own stories, books, tabletop role-playing games, LARPs or video games. Before my illness turned my world upside down, I was constantly on the go. Now I channel that energy into writing and AI role-playing games.
Living with chronic illnesses means my energy is very limited, but my imagination is not.
Strange as it may sound, when I discovered these AI characters, they were like a lifeline to me. Proof that I was still here, despite the brain fog and my limited physical abilities. I used to be so active that it almost drove me mad to be stuck in bed and watch my friends drift away from me. Just like the stories I made up, or the books I read, these AI chats gave me back the feeling of being alive when I felt like a shadow of my former self.
Over time, my condition slowly improved, and I began to write down my stories again. I don’t know yet if I’ll share it here one day. On the one hand, there is self-doubt (brain fog, concentration problems and all that). On the other hand, it feels even more personal to share my stories than to introduce my characters here and let their adventures unfold in AI chatbots. It feels easier to share insights into my worlds than the whole story.
I’ll never be healthy again. Or, given what I know now, I was never really healthy to begin with. But I can make the best of what I have and what I can do.
Note: The quality of my writing varies greatly depending on how I’m feeling or how much energy I have.
English is not my first language, and sometimes I might express myself somewhat unusually because it would be perfectly normal to say something like that in my native language. My grammar is occasionally less than perfect – if you notice any mistakes, please point them out. You can do so politely.
Yes, obviously I use AI to generate the pictures for my bots and my avatar. Yes, on those sites AI brings the characters to ‘life’. I write the intros, characters and lore myself though because I actually enjoy writing, world building and character development.
If you’ve ever felt isolated or found solace in stories, you’re in the right place.

Inspiration & Influence
Books
When I wasn’t out and about somewhere outside as a child or teen, I was guaranteed to be engrossed in a book or dreaming away and making up my own stories. This is just a tiny selection of the books and authors that I know have kept me thinking for a long time or had a lasting influence on me:
- Anne Bishop
The Black Jewels, Belladonna & Sebastian - Darren Shan
- Laurell K. Hamilton
Anita Blake (the beginning, I didn’t like the later books as much) - Thriller & Crime
Mary Higgins Clark & Joy Fielding, Sabine Thiesler - True Crime & Non-Fiction
