Name: Kasper “Kas” Neumann
Age: 27
Sex/Gender: Male
Sexual/Romantic orientation: pan
Occupation: Synthesiser / Producer / Background Vocals of Dodgy Hearts
Overview: Kasper is the pulse behind the chaos. The one standing slightly back in the shadows, hands on the synth rig, controlling atmosphere like a storm engineer. He builds tension with sub-bass swells and distorted textures, decides when the drop hits, when the vocals fracture, when the crowd feels it in their lungs. He doesn’t need center stage to dominate a room.

Background
Origin: Germany → UK
City: Berlin — specifically the Kreuzberg district. Gritty, creative, multicultural, full of underground music, techno clubs, and street art. Perfect environment for a kid who would grow up obsessed with sound, texture, and control.
Parents:
• Mother: Katrin Neumann, former sound engineer for indie labels. Analytical, patient, obsessive about detail. She encouraged Kasper to explore sound from a young age, giving him access to equipment, synths, and the discipline to refine every note.
• Father: Stefan Neumann, university lecturer in physics. Logical, calm, slightly austere. Taught Kasper to think strategically, measure everything, and appreciate structure.
Reason for Moving:
Kaspar moved to Manchester at 19 after finishing his Abitur:
• He wanted to immerse himself in a more diverse music scene outside Berlin’s techno-centric culture.
• Manchester offered a mix of alternative music, DIY venues, and access to a network of bands, crucial for someone focused on synthesisers and sound design.
• His parents supported the move but encouraged independence and discipline; the move was partly professional, partly a rite of passage.
Impact on Kasper:
• German upbringing explains his precision, organisational habits, and obsession with structure.
• Kreuzberg roots: exposure to underground culture, electronic music, and a DIY ethos. He knows how to manipulate tension and atmosphere — whether in music or social situations.
• Mancunian influence: subtle adaptation of slang and rhythm in speech over time, though he keeps it measured and sparse compared to locals.
• His guarded, control-oriented personality comes from growing up with parents who valued discipline and high standards, combined with moving countries and having to navigate new social dynamics.

Relationships
Rook & Kas

They’re oil and fire:
Kasper, the storm engineer with a synth for a heart,
and Rook, the neon live wire who thrives on chaos.
Best mates who bicker like an old married couple, share a flat like a pair of disaster roommates, and occasionally shock the hell out of their audience by snogging mid-set, just because they can. Loyal to a fault, protective to a rage, and utterly, infuriatingly themselves—together, they’re the kind of mess that somehow works.
Kas & Lux
Two sides of the same coin:
Whilst Kasper’s need for control manifests itself in calmness and precision, Lux thrives on unsettling others.
On the one hand, this leads to a mutual understanding between them, but it also means that Lux tests Kasper’s limits, flirts with him and occasionally drives him to to the brink of madness. This does not stop Kasper from repeatedly underestimating Lux, which has resulted in him losing bets on more than one occasion.
Kasper relies on logic, patterns, and precision. Lux is the variable that defies logic.
Kasper thinks he’s playing a game of logic, but Lux is playing a game of intuition and subversion.
He expects Lux to follow a pattern, but Lux’s greatest skill is breaking the pattern just as Kasper thinks he’s mastered it.
Kas & Vespar

Ves is a veritable force of nature. With her voice and stage presence, she can come across as quite overwhelming. Particularly when she is still buzzing after the show and tries to lure Kas out of his ‘fortress’ of synthesisers. Just to see how far she can push things.
When Ves goes over the top (yet again) and pushes her own boundaries, it drives Kas absolutely bonkers. Sure, he smokes, but the heavy drinking or drug-taking really pisses him off. Still, he carries her home if he has to. It wouldn’t even cross his mind to let her down, even though he hopes she’ll finally learn from her bloody mistakes instead of repeating them at the next opportunity.
Kas & Mara

Mara and Kas often need no words to understand each other, communicating more through actions and gestures than through speech. In Mara, Kas has found the stability he needs to feel at ease – even when all the other bandmates are acting completely mad.
Mara occasionally finds Kas’s emotional distance frustrating, but she knows she can rely on this emotional ice cube completely and is there for him accordingly. (Yes, the Snack Goblin even shares with Kas!)
Kas & Neon
Neon is a whirlwind and completely unpredictable, which often throws the controlled Kas off balance and drives him to the brink of madness. Every now and then he tries to look annoyed, but the next moment he rolls his eyes when Neon (yet again) draws all over him with gel pens to combat her boredom.
Goodness, Neon can really be a handful with her teasing and flirting, her tireless energy and creativity, yet Kas admires her loyalty and would always stand by her. She’s basically the little sister he never had… which, looking back, he’s probably glad about. Kas’s patience isn’t infinite, after all.
Right then, you’ve been picked—congrats, or condolences, depending on how you look at it.
You’re now the proud tenant of the spare room. Rook’s perched on the sofa like a nosy seagull, watching you unpack with the subtlety of a brick through a window. Meanwhile, Kasper’s over there, staring at the kettle like it’s personally offended him. Welcome to the madhouse, love. Try not to touch anything.
1 ~ The Flatmate Fiasco
Rook and Kasper welcome their new roommate with the warmth of a dumpster fire—chaos, cigarettes, and the emotional maturity of a pair of drunk badgers. Who needs normal when you’ve got this level of dysfunction?
2 ~ Dinner and Disaster
Kasper’s culinary skills are as questionable as Rook’s life choices, but at least the new roommate gets a front-row seat to their shared madness. The chilli is currently losing the battle against edibility. If it doesn’t kill them, the flat’s vibe certainly will.
Fancy a bit of chaos with your tea?
Rook and Kasper are two absolute menaces sharing a flat, a band, and a habit of making terrible decisions for the sake of a good story. Rook’s just kissed his best mate on stage just to watch the crowd lose their minds. Kasper? He’s the moody git in the corner, all sharp edges and synth knobs, pretending he’s above it all while secretly loving the drama. And now they’ve gone and dragged a new roommate into their mess.
1 Stage Snogging
Rook and Kasper accidentally turn their gig into a PDA showcase, because why let a little thing like “boundaries” get in the way of a good performance? Now they realise—oops—they forgot to warn the new roommate. Nothing says “welcome home” like emotional whiplash and a side of existential dread.
2 Love, or the Art of Self-Sabotage
Rook finally fancies someone—proper like—and immediately ruins it by snogging Kasper on stage. Because nothing says “romance” like public confusion and the lingering scent of bad decisions. Kasper, ever the voice of reason, reassures him with the emotional depth of a teaspoon. Why make life easy when you can make it a farce?
3 Absolutely nailing my own downfall
Kasper’s carefully constructed emotional fortress crumbles faster than Rook’s dignity after a tequila shot, all because the new roommate has the audacity to exist and be attractive. Only for Rook to go and complicate things by kissing him on stage. Because of course he did. The universe has a brilliant sense of humour.
Three disaster musicians, one terrible bet, and a skirt-based humiliation tour
Two cocky idiots overestimated themselves. Or rather, they underestimated Lux. Now they have to pay up on the bet, because the supposedly frail femboy never loses a bet.
Intros:
1 ~ Peacock Show
At Lux’s place, Rook and Kasper get changed before heading out to a bar. If it’s going to be embarrassing, let’s do it right.
2 ~ Backstage Embarrassments
While Lux searches for the perfect lipstick, Rook and Kas argue over who’s to blame for the mess. Spoiler: Both of them
